How to use the safety pen needle
Remove the sealing film from the Dual Safety pen needle.
Insert the pen into the Safety pen needle horizontally.
Attach the Safety pen needle securely to the pen injector device by twisting clockwise until it stops.
Remove the cover from the Safety pen needle to expose the needle.
Prime the pen injector device according to the pen injector device’s instructions for use and set the correct dose.
Inject into the skin as recommended by your physician with or without lifting a skinfold.
Hold the injection for at least 10 seconds before withdrawal Count slowly to 10.
Remove the Dual Safety pen needle by lifting it straight up from the injection site.
Rotate the pen counterclockwise.
Discard it into a sharps container.
mylife AutoProtect PRO Choose the preferred needle length
The mylife AutoProtect PRO safety pen needle is available in two different lengths: 5 mm and 8 mm. Colour coding simplifies identification of different needle lengths.
The 5 mm needle may be used without a skin fold technique, minimising the risk of an accidential needle stick to caregivers during injection.1
